國立成功大學防災研究中心，以及日本新潟大學，透過國際合作研究平台MSD的協助，在2023年9月6日～12日，由日本新潟大學的権田教授，帶領新潟大學學生至成功大學防災研究中心，進行為期7天的海外防災實習課程。實習期間，學生們實地走訪高雄市與臺南市的智慧淹水監測系統和決策平台，了解物聯網感測器的最新研發成果；此外，更參與山區土砂災害的現地調查工作，由都市到山區，實際參與防災的相關工作與研究。實習的最後一天，為學生的成果報告與分享，各組學生整理實習心得與日本對應的防災實務現況，為這次的海外實習畫下句點。透過本次國際防災實習課程的辦理，促進兩校學生與研究者分享與合作的機會。
From September 6th to 12th, Professor Gonda from Niigata University in Japan led a group of students to the Disaster Prevention Research Center at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan for a 7-day overseas internship program. During this period, the participants engaged in research focused on smart inundation monitoring and decision-making systems, conducted on-site visits to explore the latest developments in IoT sensors, and actively participated in investigations related to post-typhoon sediment disasters. On the final day, the program concluded with a group presentation, fostering valuable sharing and discussions among the participants. The MSD platform is committed to facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange among nations. Through the successful execution of this overseas internship program, it further enhances the opportunities for young researchers to share, collaborate, and grow. We extend a warm invitation to more researchers to become part of the MSD platform, contributing to the continued progress in sediment disaster prevention and mitigation research.
